Clear Your Shelf Giveaway Hop: Enter to Win "I Remember You" by Harriet Evans!

Welcome to the Clear Your Shelf Giveaway Hop, which is hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer and runs from January 4-10, 2014! The bloggers participating in this hop are cleaning out their bookshelves and giving away a print copy of a book or books they no longer need. For my giveaway, I am sending the following paperback book to one lucky reader!

I Remember You
By Harriet Evans

About this book:
Twelve years in bustling London have left Tess Tennant dumped by her boyfriend, out of work, and miserable. Still, maybe taking a new job as a classics professor at the tiny college in her picture-perfect hometown in the English countryside was a bit drastic. Langford’s stone cottages, quaint shops, and lifelong locals feel even smaller than she remembered, but at least Tess has Adam, her best and oldest friend. On a spontaneous birthday adventure back to the city, though, their painful and heartbreaking past forces them into an angry confrontation.

Tess escapes to Rome on a class trip and falls unexpectedly into the arms of Peter, a charming American journalist … until a tragedy cuts her vacation short. Back home and alone, Tess must slowly unravel her feelings about her secretive best friend, the romantic new lover she barely knows, and the independent woman she really wants to be.

I really enjoyed this book and would love to share it with you!

  6. I'd like to live in a small town NEAR a big city. A small town is like a good pair of worn jeans, but sometimes you need the glitzy sequin dress, too!

  11. I'd pick the small town any day. I've lived in a smallish town right outside the big city all my life and I love it. Every time I go into the city I just want to pull my hair out

  17. I would prefer to live in the small town where it is nice and quiet. Although I would like to be close enough to the big city to go there when I want.

  18. I like the small town we live in. On the other hand, the lights and opportunities of a big city could be good too. Never say never. :)

  19. I'm a small town girl. I don't like crowds, traffic, smog, inflated housing prices or the various other cons of city life. I do enjoy the better medical care, convenient shopping, etc., but that's why the higher power gave us transportation. I enjoy having a yard for my dogs, a smaller school for my children (though I wish we lived in an area where the school system was better), and feeling safer (even though sometimes I know it's a false sense of security).

  24. I prefer the small town. I think it is a great way to raise children so that they can socialize with people and make close friends. Most big cities are so frantic that no one knows who you are. Or, if they do they don't really care that much what goes on in your life, only their own.

  35. I would prefer living in rural area. I have lived in big city and small town and wasn't overly fond of wither. But if I only had a choice between the two, I would pick big city where you can be more anonymous. In small town everyone knows your business. I don't like that at all.

  40. I love living in a small town, but love the convenience of the big city. Living in the rural areas you don't have much of selection of things. Like for example: Most of the New Releases that I would love to read are not at our local library, so I would have to go through Amazon to buy them if I wanted to read them. Especially the Courtney Cole series.
However, I know living in the big city you have it's up and downs as well: noise, people, you really don't have the quietness as the small town.
