Hometown Girls, by Tressa Messenger

Life for Marissa Lou was great. She was a popular senior in high school with great friends and an even greater boyfriend. She was on top of the world. That was until she made the greatest sacrifice of her life.

Daniel and Katie both loved Marissa Lou, but neither of them could deny the intensity of their growing affection for one another, no matter how hard they tried to fight it.

Being the selfless person she was, Marissa Lou gave Katie and Daniel her permission to date. Little did she know it would be the first day of a hellish nightmare -- one where, in her depression, she falls from grace and gets mixed up in a life she never would have expected.

With a growing addiction, she fights to right everything that went so wrong, but will it be too late?

  4. Oh god no, I'd never redo high school. I'd give advice to a younger me to not stress so much, but I honestly have nightmares where I'm forced to return to high school. I didn't technically fulfill our graduation requirements (you have to do a senior project, and the teacher in charge of it never gave me the info no matter how often I asked; I think she was angry that I decided I'd rather take AP English online than an English that wouldn't get me out of college classes). It's a recurring nightmare. I was so bored the first time around, and there's no way I'd do that again. I'd rather test for the GED and move on with my life.

  5. I truly loved my high school experience, but looking back, there would be a few things I would change. I also would not have dated who I did in high school either lol. You live and learn!

  6. Since I had a really bad high school experience, I wouldn't redo high school. I was bullied every day, and I wasn't the most smartest kid in my high class. However, there are some things I would change, such as my study habits. The advice I would give to people who are now attending high school is that to keep your head held high, and not worry about what other people think, because in the end, you will go on to become very important people in society.

  7. Probably. If I knew what I know now, there are definitely aspects of HS that I would do differently.

If I could redo any part of high school, I wouldn't have finished it a year early. I would have taken the extra time to relax and enjoy the experience instead of being in such a rush. olivia41393@yahoo.com

  21. I really love the cover to this book. And as for me, I wouldn't redo high school because I wouldn't want to trudge through all the work again! I love my high school experience which is still happening - and all the people I have met because of it.

  22. I hated high school. I really figured out who I was in college. Knowing myself better now, I think I might redo high school, just to see what it could have been like.
